Hello!

Since a few days neither ObsMapp nor ObsIdentify seem to be able to establish a connection with Observation.org.

When trying to upload observations I get "Error: 0"
When trying to re-enter my password in settings/login the app goes back to the main screen with the error: 'no internet connection'
After a reinstall of ObsMapp no countries/lists etc. can be loaded and the app closes completely after a few flashes of error messages.

ObsIdentify shows an empty dashboard, empty groups, empty badges etc.
After a relogin attempt it says: "something went wrong" when trying to login.

My phone is online and I can open Observation.org within my phones browser.

Andy ideas what the problem could be? Maybe some wierd security issue with Huawei or Android?

Thank you
All the best
Patrick

My phone specs:
HUAWEI P9 lite mini
Android 7.0
ObsMapp 9.4.7
ObsIdentify 3.15

yes your android version is to old to handle the SSL certificates.

Apparently it started working again. Did you change anything or is this due to a system update?

we repaired/updated the SSL certificates. These old android versions will keep working until september 2024
Then it is definitely end of life
