I think you're right. The species with spines on the thigh all show spines as final instars - good photos here:

I don't know how reliable the colours are but S. laevigata seems to have quite colourful chestnut stripes down the body.

Here's one I saw on Friday - photographed in deep shade so the picture has a bluish tinge.

I think the body of this species is a little bluish-green.

You're quite right about that but look at the difference - this is the same insect in the sun before I caught it to make some close-ups. The colours are much warmer.

I used a flash. So the colors are rather cold.
