thanks in advance Ingrid Altmann
Dear Ingrid,
Ephemerella is correct and you have both a female imago and subimago. They both seem a bit different from the ignita's that I'm used to. They are quite rich in contrast, quite dark and the subimago has plain dark tails, which in iginta should be pale with annulation. They might be E. mucronata or E. notata (or even another species), or just odd ignita, I am not experienced enought with those other species to come to a conclusion. I will post this on a different forum to get some other opinions.
Cheers!
Daan
Dear Dann,
thank you very much for your assement!
So the determination is more difficult than expected.
I will post this on a different forum to get some other opinions.
Thats great Daan! Thanks!
All the best!
Ingrid
In other fora, people were not sure of the identification either. Who knows that if rearing experiments in the future will provide answers, but for now it remains Ephemerella spec.
Cheers!
Thank you so much Dan!
So I can label the photos.
