Hi,
I was just looking at the map for Common Swift (http://observado.org/soort/maps/97?from=2008-04-02&to=2010-04-06 (http://observado.org/soort/maps/97?from=2008-04-02&to=2010-04-06)) and I noticed the tie-in for the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (http://data.gbif.org/welcome.htm (http://data.gbif.org/welcome.htm)). I was wondering if the records entered into Observado will be used by GBIF? Will the records be shared with other members participating in GBIF?
Thanks,
Stephen
CiteerI was wondering if the records entered into Observado will be used by GBIF? Will the records be shared with other members participating in GBIF?
Stephen, no the data on observado.org is not yet shared with other organisations, only on local subsites like
http://nordpasdecalais.observado.org they share the data with the local nature organisations
Thanks. So the data from GBIF is only presented as an overlay in the species maps?
correct
Stephen, you know this subsite is waiting for the dubliners http://bwireland.observado.org/index.php to share the data
Do any future plans with GBIF exist?
no concrete plant, we spoke about it once with the dutch branche
