Azores strikes again...
CAPE GANNET (Morus capensis) - this Threatened as Vulnerable species was apparently seen in the channel between Corvo and Flores yesterday April 14, 2016 by Carlos Mendes.
The black line of the throat - is twice longer as in Northern Gannet - added to the full black secondaries & black tail attempts to proof that it's an near adult Cape Gannet.
The only previous record of this species that I can found come from Spain in January 1985. I found this info only in rare bird of Europe (Mitchell, Young -1997). I can't found any sightings elsewhere in all my different books about rarity.
So, question - it's a first or 2nd?
