Hi,
Unfortunately my Dutch is not that great. Therefore, a few questions in English.
I downloaded ObsMapp yesterday and I think that the app is quite good already. Nevertheless some questions.
- How can I change the location of an observation in (the implemented) GoogleMaps map? I can see the observations (red dots) but I can not change the location.
- Is it possible that the app uses pre-cashed map data of Google Maps? The Google Maps app itself allows pre-cashing of maps (for offline use). Has ObsMapp access to these maps?
- Is it possible to upload the observations to a PC (or to Google Docs)? Where is the file with the observations stored on the device? Is it possible to convert this file? I need the data in a spreadsheet format.
- Regarding the overview page of ObsMapp. It shows the species for each day. It happens that I count birds in more than one area. Is it possible to group the species, for example per region/area?
Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Peter
Hi Peter,
- You can change the position by pressing on the place where you want to have it. Just push there and then push the back button (the android one, on your phone). It is not possible to change the location after you saved the observation (Could be a feature? Alex?)
- It is not (yet) possible to use pre-cashed map data. It is/was not allowed, but currently the google maps-app allows to cash an area of 16 km around a point, so it may be possible in the future. There are free openstreetmaps available for each country. In this topic (
http://forum.waarneming.nl/smf/index.php?topic=157429.0) you can download the maps for your country or ask Alex to put it there.
- You can export sightings after you uploaded them to observado.org. You can find it in overview --> menu --> more --> Old sightings --> menu --> export own sightings.
- This is not (yet) possible and I suppose it won't be either in the near future. You can do it on your own by exporting your own sightings and sort by region.
Does this answers all your questions?
