Hello Julia,
I found a Melampsora on Euphorbia lathyris.
Uredinia with capitate paraphyses. Urediniospores 15-19 x 18-24 µm. Teliospores subepidermal (23)-33-35-40-(43) x 8-14 µm.
Is this Melampsora euphoriae or Melampsora-dulcis?
Carina
Hey Carina,
could you give me a meassurement for the width of the head of the paraphysis? 14-16 or 15-20 µm?
The size of the teliospores hints in the direction of Melampsora euphorbiae.
For me this makes sense, becaus Euphorbia lathyris occurs often in gardens, together with Euphorbia peplus, which is quite common infected with Melampsora euphorbiae.
Cheers,
Julia
Hey Julia,
The width of the head of the paraphysis is 15-20 µm.
Carina
Hello Carina,
perfect! This fits with my determination, because the paraphyses head is 15-20 µm for Melampsora euphorbiae.
Thanks for meassuring!
Cheers,
Julia
