Titel: Caribbean Elaenia?
Bericht door: Frank van Spelde op december 04, 2016, 12:50:11 PM
Hi,

I would like to check the identification of this observation:

http://statia.observation.org/waarneming/view/132554297

It has been entered as a blackpoll warbler, but I suspect it's a Caribbean elaenia. This is based on:
- heavy bill with pinkish lower mandible
- overall brown color (non-breeding blackpoll is more olive green)
- no white undertail coverts
- wingbars are not broad

Compare for instance observations http://statia.observation.org/waarneming/view/64792264 and http://observado.org/waarneming/view/61343904

Can someone help me out with this?

Kind regards, Frank van Spelde
