No, adult, I think Euchorthippus sp. but I am not sure which species occur there

Looks to me like a Pseudochorthippus parallelus. Or are there some Bulgarian look alikes?

Hello Paul and Wiene,
Thank you for your replies.

According to Fauna Europaea, the Euchorthippus species present in Bulgaria are: E. declivus and E. pulvinatus.
Looking at images of these two species, I get the impression that they got less indented keels. But maybe the difference is irrelevant.

Pseudochorthippus parallelus is present as well in Bulgaria, but the one on my photo lacks any trace of green coloration.....

Euchorthippus typically has striping behind the eye, which is absent here. Furthermore, the females of E. declivus and E. pulvinatus seem to have longer wings.

This is not irrelevant and the slightly bended keel in your specimen hints at Pseudochorthippus rather than Euchorthippus.

Don't get fooled by the colors, this group of Acrididae is known for its wild coloration.

I'm not aware of any Chorthippus-like species that have such short wings. C. pullus maybe? But that species is missing in Bulgaria...

All in all I agree with Wiene that this must be Pseudochorthippus parallelus.
