Titel: Wat is Bosnia and Herzegovina - Serbian Republic

Servische Republiek is dus Bosnisch Servie (Mladic & Karavic)?

All I am suggesting is to stick with the definition the United Nations (UN) has - at least that can be motivated without resorting to emotions. It is difficult as it is...

Wiki
Republika Srpska  is one of the two main political entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the other being the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Constitution of Republika Srpska defines it as a territorially unified, indivisible and inalienable constitutional and legal entity that independently performs its constitutional, legislative, executive and judicial functions.[5] The National Assembly and the Government of Republika Srpska are based in Banja Luka, although Sarajevo remains the official capital.

The agreement with its 11 annexes covered a broad range of issues including:

    military aspects of the peace settlement;
    regional stabilization;
    delineation of an Inter-entity Boundary Line between the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska;
    holding of democratic elections;
    human rights;
    assistance to refugees;
    civilian implementation of the Peace Agreement;
    an International Police Task Force.

Perhaps there are some confusion here. The facts are like this:

* Republic of Srpska (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republika_Srpska) is the Serb dominate part of the independent state Bosnia and Herzegovina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosnia_and_Herzegovina).

* Geographically and political Srpska is part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

* Republic of Serbia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serbia) is an independent country east of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

* Srpska and Serbia are both political and geographically two different things.

* The wording Serbian Republic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serbian_Republic) carries ambiguity about its meaning

It is unclear to me what "Serbian Republic" is supposed to refer to. Is it referring to the ethnic groups of Serbs in Bosnia, i.e. Sprska, and if so why is this needed to be separated (should we not then also say "The Netherlands - province of North Brabant")? Or is is it referring to the independent Serbia (should we not then say "The Netherlands - province of South Brabant")?

Do you also file Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as "Bosnia and Herzegovina - Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina"?

Looks good.

But the Bosnian Croat's may upset if you say "the bosnian part". :-)

Indeed it is hard to satisfy everyone; but the way to respect and understanding begins with the realization that oneself might be wrong about everything one believe in. Unfortunately our beliefs system tends to prevent this thought process and we tend not to be as forgiving in nature towards each others as we ought to be unless "others" are "the same as our self".
